THE EXCELSIOR

MIDTOWN EAST

Madison Equities’ first major project developed in Manhattan was a prestigious tower located at 303 East 57th Street. Rising 47-stories and containing 371 luxury apartments above a 200,000 square foot commercial base and garage, The Excelsior was the tallest reinforced concrete residential property in New York City when it was completed in 1965. This unique structure was the first truly mixed-use building in New York City, and gave rise to decades of creative development to follow.
